Instructions:
Using speaking activities from course book (or creating your own) such as interviews or questionnaires instruct students to find a family member or friend that you can interview. If their family member doesn't speak English then call a friend. Using the prompts in the course book or from the teacher interview or discuss the points with that person for a prescribed amount of time making notes of their answers.
For reporting, have students submit an email or post with a summary of their discussion with possible sentence prompts provided by the teacher like "[my friend] and I agree that...", "Both of us think that...", "He/she feels that ..."
